Global Academic Spectrum recognizes the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) in research and establishes clear boundaries for their ethical use.
AI Authorship Prohibition: Generative AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot) cannot be listed as an author or co-author. Authorship implies legal accountability, which AI systems cannot assume.
1. Transparent Declaration Requirement
Authors who utilize AI or AI-assisted technologies in any capacity during manuscript preparation (e.g., code generation, language proofreading, preliminary literature mapping) must transparently disclose the tool name, version, and specific purpose in the manuscript’s Methods or Acknowledgments section.
2. Reviewer and Editor Prohibitions
Peer reviewers and editors are strictly prohibited from uploading submitted manuscripts or confidential review materials into public or private generative AI tools, as doing so violates author confidentiality and intellectual property rights.
